The technology topic I decided to find an article on was the Windows Vista operating system coming out. I chose this because I have heard my brothers and dad talk about it recently and I remember talking about it some in class, though I could not remember very much about it. The website I looked at was the Windows Vista homepage to see what they are claiming about their new product. They say that transferring to Vista is easy especially with the Windows Easy Transfer which sets up your PC automatically transferring the files from the old system to the new. They also talked about it being safer, more fun, and more efficient. It is interesting to wonder how much of what they are saying is simply a sales effort and how much of it is actually true.

My fixed 1st blog

So in my first blog I didn't remember the instructions about writing in our blog why we are taking this class (CIS 120). So, I am taking this class because I need it to get my Associate of Arts transfer degree. I also do think it will be really nice to learn more about computers. I grew up in a home with my dad and two brothers who are really adept with computers. My older brother graduated from OIT with two Bachelors degree: one in Computer Hardware and one in Software Engineering. Anyway, because I have had such qualified help so close, there are many things that I never learned how to do. Anytime my computer had a problem, I just called my dad or one of my brothers and let them fix it. So I think that this will be good for me and it's kind of fun learning how to do stuff I never knew I could do.
